Unique conference & event venues

In the leafy streets of London’s South Kensington, directly opposite Gloucester Road Underground Station, The Bailey’s Hotel London boast’s one of the area’s most original meeting room concepts, Rear Window. Based on the movie of one of our most famous regulars of years gone by, Alfred Hitchcock, Rear Window is tastefully designed around themes from the movie, combining thoughtful design with functional space for meetings or events of up to 26 people. For larger events, consider the neighbouring Millennium Conference Centre or Millennium Gloucester Hotel and allow us to cater to your needs, however large the event.

"Great location and reasonably priced"

Loved the location and the service. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. I've stayed at a few London hotels and by far this is the best value. Close to the metro and Starbucks! Had some guests come to the bar, which is very friendly and a lovely place to hang out.

"Great hotel for staying in South Kensington"

Great hotel with a great location -next to the Tube stop coming in from Heathrow. Room was ready when I got to hotel at 9am-a rare treat but one I so appreciate. Thank you!!! Breakfast was great and included in my room price. Great options from typical European breakfast -rolls, cold cuts, to everything needed for a full English breakfast. My room was small-it’s what I reserved, but clean, well appointed, and everything I needed. Very comfortable stay! I’d stay here again without hesitation.

"Lovely grand hotel in great location!"

The Bailey’s Hotel in London is a lovely grand old hotel that has been modernized yet still keeps the English charm. The lobby is beautiful as is the stairwell and the restaurant has excellent food and is also quite beautiful. I stayed in a Luxury Family Room (Room 139) which was extremely spacious with two queen size beds and had beautiful ceiling to floor windows which let in lots of light. My thanks to Irina in reservations for making that happen. The room itself was very large, clean and updated but still had that lovely English charm with ceiling to floor drapes. And even though the room faces the front there was zero noise coming from outside. I had to request a bathrobe but that was brought to me very quickly. The room has a lot of closet space, an iron and ironing board, a refrigerator and coffee/tea service with cookies in the cradenza. The room also had a desk and chair. The bathroom was beautiful and immaculate with a heated towel rack (didn’t need to use that in the sweltering heat of course but would come in very handy in the winter) with a very large walk-in shower (as an American, I prefer that). It had a fantastic rainfall showerhead in addition to another handheld shower head. My only gripe is the lighting in the bathroom is very poor and that is where they have the makeup mirror but luckily I took my own and sat by the desk by the window to put on my make up. The full breakfast buffet was included in my rate and I found it to be more than sufficient. The eggs that were already cooked tasted hot and fresh, they had all the fixings in addition to yogurts, cereals, meats, cheese, pastries and the most delicious freshly made chocolate muffins I have ever tasted! I was there when it was sweltering hot in London and thankfully the air-conditioning in that room was fantastic. The first night it seemed a bit warm and when I called the front desk they sent someone over immediately even though it was 11 PM, and he switched off the system and then switched it back on and it was running nice and cold after that. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. You are directly across the street from the Gloucester Road underground station which has three lines which makes it extremely easy to get around London. There are also many restaurants, shops and a Waitrose in the neighborhood to get whatever you need. The front desk staff were not especially friendly, although certainly not nasty in anyway. Just would’ve liked to see somebody smiling. I was unhappy to find out that I was supposed to have a travel cell phone in my room to use during my stay which was not there and no one told me about. And I also found out after-the-fact that my room was supposed to allow me access into the lounge where they had drinks and refreshments but I was not told about that either. The only staff member that I had dealings with was Irina in reservations prior to my stay who answered all of my questions via email right away and kindly allocated a bright sunny location which I had requested. She was fantastic! Thank you so much Irina! All in all, it was a wonderful stay and I would recommend trying to book your room as early as you can to get the best rate as this hotel does tend to get extremely expensive.
