This was the third time I have stayed at the hotel. The location is excellent. The staff was attentive and the in room Wi Fi was much improved from my last visit. The rooms (in my case a Single) can be rather small but they are charming, clean and quiet. It's a nice place to come back to after wandering around London all day!
We have stayed at The Bailey´s over the years, we have stayed there for about 30 times since the 1990´th. The service is excellent from the reception, to the doormans, the restaurant. We had to change the room without no problems, as my wife has got a bit disable we got a room to our delight. Further we like to have our lunch in a Pub, the Pub´s always serves good food. We can gladely recommend The Hereford Arms, 127 Gloucester Road, South Kensington, just 5-10 mins from the hotel, they have lovely food, it´s a very busy place, the best thing is to make a table reservation. Another very nice Pub is The Cross Keys at 31 Endell Street, Covent Garden. My wife who likes hot food ,had for the first time, Jacket Potato with cheese and hot chili. We also went to the Museum of London, very interesting, We tried to get in to a guided tour at The Parliament as it is open for the public on Wednesdays, you have to bee a part of a Tourist Group, so we could´nt get in, so have that in mind. Albert and Victoria Museum is very interesting too. The Church ST. Martins in the Field, is a nice place to visit, in the Crypt you can have a meal and a glas of wine if you like, they have a gift shop and a place for children to play. We had a lovely stay, and we will be back the week after Easter next year.
The Baileys Hotel did not disappoint....from our doorman in the Red Hat, Gary Rutherford, to the macarons in our room......the room was great, breakfast was great....and location was perfect. Close to the Underground, restaurants and Hyde Park....perfect.
