I try to make travel visits to Europe and Great Britain every year and when in London I find that Kensington is an ideal base for my visit. On my last visit in 2019 we stayed at the Bailey Hotel, near Cromwell St, Kensington rather than the Hotels further up the road. The benefit of the Bailey is that it is only a matter of crossing the street to use the rail into London Centre to check out the places to see. They have a very excellent dining room for breakfast and then onto the visits planned for the day. The decor of the hotel is excellent and the hotel's appearance inside shows that attention to detail and comfort is a priority. I will no doubt be staying there on my next visit.
I've lost count of how many times we have stayed at this hotel. We absolutely love it and will only stay here whenever we're in London. We have just arrived home after staying for one night and have immediately booked a room for 3 nights later this year. Fantastic location, lovely staff, lovely bar and restaurant. Highly recommended - the only suggestion that I have is that they may wish to consider buying a new Union Jack flag for the front of the hotel - the current one is a bit tattered.
Location can't be beat. Literally across from the Gloucester Tube Station. Discovered so many gems in the neighborhood. Paul's French Patisserie for finest croissants across the street, Hereford Pub for most memorable English meal 1 block away and an entire neighborhood of shops, famous eateries and more within 5-10 minutes walk. Hotel room spacious and beautifully decorated. And the staff most memorable. Concierges Sonny & Maciej full of information, recommendations and personality. Front Desk most helpful, attentive and kind. Can't say enough about our stay!
