We read many reviews quite a few negative. This worried my wife. We had nothing to worry about. We had special courtesy service thru Willem the director of sales that went above and beyond. The hotel lobby is very nice. The 7th floor was decent, yes a bit dated. Yes the room if you look real close has some dings etc but the room was clean and comfortable. The bed actually was one that my wife and I agreed was one of the most comfortable ever. Yes that's above the 5* Mexican resort we stayed at. Wonderful sheets and pillows. Slept like a baby. Was a bit hard to control the climate in room either a bit hot or too cool but that's it no cleanliness issues etc. The walls are thin we heard the neighbors. Otherwise we spent first night not in downtown on Broadway but in the bar with singers circle country night. Awesome. Great location with shuttle drivers like gower and Mac. Great advice to go to printers alley for cheaper less touristy prices for drinks and great Blues at bourbon Boogie bar. Another broken egg breakfast. Puckett's breakfast. Tootsie's country bar on Broadway. Most of the tourist trap bars like Jason aldeans, ole red, tequila cowboy, Luke Bryan etc are a waste. Super high over priced drinks, greasy over priced food. Avoid your paying for the artist's name but they aren't there. Service lousy too. Highlights was to avoid cramped tiny Johnny Cash museum instead hit up the Ryman auditorium. Our extra ten bucks for behind the scenes to have the tour lead by Alexis (ask for her) made the day and was best experience of the church turned Grand Ole Opry for us. We had a bit of a checkout mixup but Christy (hope I spelled right?) Came thru saving us. Overall you can save money you'd spend on the strip of sobro stay here. Thanks guys!
