The founding banquet of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was held in our opulent Crystal Ballroom in 1927. Thereafter, the hotel hosted eight Academy Awards banquets in the ‘30s and ‘40s. John F. Kennedy stayed at our hotel and spoke in our ballrooms during the 1960 Democratic National Convention.

Venues Crystal Ballroom
Hold your event under our hand-painted 30-foot ceiling, majestic balconies, and magnificent Austrian crystal chandeliers. Known as “the birthplace of Oscar”, this is where the Oscar statuette is said to have been drawn on a Biltmore napkin during the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ founding banquet.

Venues Biltmore Bowl
This is the same room where Clark Gable, Walt Disney, and Spencer Tracy delivered their winning Academy Award speeches back in the days of Hollywood’s Golden Era. Today, the large Biltmore Bowl blends period details with modern audio visual equipment, and includes a pre-function foyer, curtained stage, and long balcony that’s perfect for lavish buffet setups.

Venues Gold Room
This split-level venue features gold-coffered ceilings, original wood-paneled walls, and crystal chandeliers. The lower level serves as an intimate foyer, reception area, or break area, complementing the opulent dining and dancing space of its upper tier.

Venues Tiffany Room
An impressive space on its own, the intimate Tiffany Room also serves as a pre-function area that connects to the Crystal Ballroom. It features beautiful vaulted wood ceilings, graceful colonnades, and a hand-carved frieze depicting famous explorers tied to California’s history along the north wall.

Venues Emerald Room
Featuring rounded faux-travertine columns and bronze and crystal chandeliers, this is a stately setting for any banquet or reception. Hand-painted ceiling motifs of harvest and hunt reflect the origins of the Emerald Room, our hotel’s original dining room.

The ideal boardroom for executives features a wood-paneled boardroom and game room with an antique billiards table. The boardroom boasts its own fully interactive environment with separate telephone lines, LCD projector, 10’x10’ retractable screen, surround sound and videoconferencing capability.

Venues Heinsbergen Room
An ideal space for mid-sized functions and meetings, this classic large square room adorned with rich gold and red tones features square columns on the periphery and wall sconce lighting, each with delicate dual lamp shades. Also features an inset space for A/V set-up, check-ins or display tables.

Whether you're organizing a quiet get-together or holiday party, our beautifully decorated suites lend a touch of class to any celebration. Our one-bedroom suites are great for small gatherings of up to 8 guests, while our opulent Presidential or Music Suite would make the ideal setting for a holiday party of 35.
Venues Mezzanine Breakouts
Our nine mezzanine breakout rooms make for highly versatile event space. Elegantly decorated with hand-painted details, carved plaster ceilings in Greco-Roman motifs, and polished wood-paneled walls, they're perfect for small meetings of 15 or less, or larger sessions of up to 125.
