Booed one night for a girls weekend away with my mum. Arrived and check-in was very quick, with friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean, with a view over the canal.
We had already been round Merry Hill shops, so we decided to use the spa facilities. We did not have any treatments, just used the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Over all, the facilities were very clean, although only two of the four showers were working properly. There is also a nifty little spinner machine to dry your costume! Doesn't get it bone dry but means its drier.
We decided to order room service, and had a pizza, Caesar salad and some chips which was really nice and delivered quickly. Just a tip though, it states that Club rooms and suites do not have to pay the tray charge, however our room had a sign on the door that said it was a Classic Club, however these are apparently a leftover from a previous upgrade and the Club rooms and suites are on the 4th floor, not the 3rd floor. However the very nice gentleman on the front desk took the charge off when we pointed out that it did say Club on the door, and no-one told us it was not a club room. To be honest, given the size and the view, we thought that we had been given a bit of an upgrade!
Overall, a lovely little hotel perfect for a couple of nights away.
Oh, there was no dvd player that I could see on the TV, but that wasn't a problem. There was a bit of noise from the pubs over the canal, but nothing excessive, just people out enjoying themselves.
