"Tour of historic Knickerbocker Hotel"
M-M-OKC - OKC, May/25/2018
Tiara escorted us through this historic property whose owners include Al Capone and Hugh Hefner. The Cristal Ballroom is exquisite and has been restored to its original splendor. The secret stairway from the top floor penthouse was a hoot!Tiara was absolutely terrific!
Built in 1927, the 4-star Millennium Knickerbocker Chicago has a colorful history.
Al Capone’s brother once ran a casino on the Penthouse Floor, and in the ’70s, it had a stint as the Playboy Towers. We’ve housed such luminaries as John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon and the Rolling Stones. A landmark in its own right, our hotel has 306 guest rooms and suites, and 18,500 Sq Ft (1,719 Sqm) of meeting space, including the iconic Crystal Ballroom, complete with illuminated dance floor and gold-gilded domed ceiling.
Drink in the 1920’s cocktail menu at Martini Bar. One of the Best Chicago Hotels off of the Magnificent Mile, we're also an easy walk to 360 Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Staff was kind and helpful, expedited departure available, clean room and great bathroom experience for me ! Location was great and sleep quality fabulous! However consider to other local hotels, the price would be less competitive !
What a great location. Just off Michigan Avenue. Close to all the shops and an easy walk to Navy Pier.Friendly staff. On arrival was greeted with a big smile and very clean rooms. Highly recommend. Will stay again
I picked this hotel for the price and location, and it was the perfect fit for my weekend touring the city of Chicago. I booked through a 3rd party and the process was seamless. The location was close to shopping, restaurants, and local transportation. The service from the front desk to the doormen/valet was exceptional and they were always courteous and attentive. I didn't need to be wined and dined at a hotel-I just wanted a quiet, comfortable, and safe place to stay and sleep, this was the perfect fit. There's a local grocery/liquor store steps from this hotel and they carry EVERYTHING -- very convenient! Will book here again while in the city.
