Overall I enjoyed the room and the ambiance. It was a very pleasant stay throughout my trip. The staff was friendly and everything was very clean. There is also a great bar in the lobby.
Built in 1927, the 4-star Millennium Knickerbocker Chicago has a colorful history.
Al Capone’s brother once ran a casino on the Penthouse Floor, and in the ’70s, it had a stint as the Playboy Towers. We’ve housed such luminaries as John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon and the Rolling Stones. A landmark in its own right, our hotel has 306 guest rooms and suites, and 18,500 Sq Ft (1,719 Sqm) of meeting space, including the iconic Crystal Ballroom, complete with illuminated dance floor and gold-gilded domed ceiling.
Drink in the 1920’s cocktail menu at Martini Bar. One of the Best Chicago Hotels off of the Magnificent Mile, we're also an easy walk to 360 Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

I do annual trips to Chicago and enjoy the Knickerbocker because of the value and location and friendliness and cleanliness. Will stay here again and again. I had one room with my daughter and grandson in the next room. They too were comfortable and enjoyed their stay.

This was a perfect big city hotel with all the amenities. We enjoyed the suggestions from the concierge staff. They made some sight seeing reservations for us. Their restaurant suggestions were spot on.
Great location, very friendly staff, extremely clean and spacious room. We would definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to Chicago. There was a jazz band in the lobby at night which was very fun! Only negative is valet was expensive for overnight parking but my guess is that would be expensive anywhere in the city
My young son and I stayed here recently and it was wonderful! As soon as we arrived, we were met with a smile outside (and it was a little chilly to be smiling!!). We had wonderful help with our bags and directions. It was truly a great place to stay and very short walking distance to bus stops, the subway, and they never hesitated to help get a cab! The refrigerator was stocked with lots of drinks and they had a lot of snacks to choose from in the room, keep in mind the costs of these items! It was great!
