Our company moved us here a few months ago from Mesa, to be honest, anywhere is better than Mesa, although I did like the Hilton. So...back to the McCormick, this is an Un imposing hotel, which from the outside looks very, well, it blends into the landscape. There is a large foyer, slightly old fashioned but nonetheless attractive. Only one elevator to the upper floors, but as there are only three this isn’t an issue. Rooms wise, all I have stayed in are spacious, nicely laid out, good bathroom, and wonder of wonders, a balcony. This is a treat. One looks over a charming lake which really is very attractive and relaxing. Beds super comfortable, air con excellent. Bar quite nice, restaurant area was being partially upgraded during my visit but clean and smart. Great pool area too. They offer free bikes, canoes etc.plus a free shuttle bus up to I believe 5 Miles. Breakfast usual American , but a la carte very good, had the omelette which was great. Nachos have a twist of Chinese, but nonetheless good. And now we come to the real bonus, the staff, without exception are terrific, polite , friendly, helpful, what more could one ask. Not the flashiest hotel around, but certainly v v good. Highly recommended, and I don’t say that very often.
