Take a break from Cosmopolitan Downtown Manhattan

In 1686, the area now known as Bryant Park was designated public property by New York Colonial Governor Thomas Dongan. At the start of the Revolutionary War, General Washington’s troops raced across it, and in 1807 the grid system of streets was laid out in what is now considered Midtown, expanding north from the cosmopolitan Downtown Manhattan. Enjoy a range of activities such as tai chi, film and music festivals, picnics, and putting workshops.

  • Bryant Park’s Magical Winter Village will return this October. Along with its free ice-skating on 17,000 square foot outdoor rink, Bryant Park offers over 170 holiday shops, including a number of new kiosks and eateries, for your shopping and dining pleasure
