Surrounded by high-rise architecture, and located near the historical capitol building, the Bicentennial Capitol Mall State park is a green oasis in the heart of downtown Nashville within sight of the historic Tennessee State Capitol building. This 19-acre park provides much insight into Tennessee’s history with a 200-foot granite map of the state, and The Walkway of Counties, which has planters featuring native plants from each region. Other park highlights to look out for are the Pathway of History, World War 2 Memorial, the 95-bell carillon and the 2,000 seat amphitheatre.
