Discover all that Broadway, New York has to offer

Broadway is one of New York City's most famous streets. It travels 21 kilometers through the center of midtown Manhattan but in total, it stretches 53 kilometers passing through the Bronx and further north outside of the city.

It's the oldest thoroughfare in New York City, dating back to the days of the Dutch settlement of New Amsterdam in the 17th century. Before that, it was known by the Algonquin Indian Tribe as the Wickquasgeck Trail, which means "birch-bark country".

Today, Broadway is renowned for The Theater District, located where the street crosses at Seventh Avenue near Times Square. No visit to NYC is complete without time spent in the Broadway area. While you're there, take in some non-musical attractions starting with the weird and wacky at Ripley's Believe It or Not.
