"Good hotel stay in Shanghai"
LEEKLPMG - Singapore, SIngapore, Dec/26/2016
Nice weekend stay at Grand Millennium Hongqiao. I stayed two relaxing nights at the hotel with my family during the school holidays. Check in was a breeze after our flight from Singapore. The hotel has modern lines and very neat. Rooms are cosy and clean.

I was greeted by a smiling staff during check-in although I had troubled her a lot with past issues of my membership. I also asked for an upgrade of my room using the coupon from my Premier Membership. She handled it very nicely. The upgraded mini-suite was very nice. The hotel was in 5 minutes walk to a shopping mall and 10 minutes walk to the subway station.
It is a good business hotel in close vincinity of the Hongqiao Airport. Breakfast was a huge buffet, with something for everybody. Some bars are in short walking distance too (Laowei Street), but the "typical" sightseeing spots i Shanghai are relatively far away (maybe 40-45min by subway).Rooms were clean and large enough.
Stayed here numerous times with the kids and I must say that this hotel is really worth it.While the hotel itself does not have any playroom for children, but it has lots of space for the kids to run around as the room are spacious. The toilet would be make most ladies happy. The hotel is secure and the floors can only be accessible by tapping the room key in the elevators.Millennium offers options for pillows as well, so you do have a choice when it comes to the comfort at night. The hotel is located near a local train station (line 10) about 5 mins walk and 3 mins away to a Carrefour to stock up on grocery or small bites). Eateries (local, fast food and restaurants) are also nearby and easily accessible. It takes about 15 to 20 mins to get to the Bund and most tourist region in shanghai located around hong qiao area. Getting to Hong Qiao airport (20- 25 mins) and Hong Qiao train station for high speed train (30 mins) is also easy. The only drawback is that it is about 1 hour journey from Pudong International Airport. However, if most of the activities that you are planning are in downtown area. Millennium is certainly a good choice.
Journey back in time, where a wonderful mélange of quaint cafes, galleries, and stylish dining options line the leafy backstreets.
Be charmed over by the delicate beauty of the classical garden dating back to Ming Dynasty.
At night, the bank of Huangpu River, studded with impressive buildings, skyscrapers, and restaurants, becomes a truly dazzling sight.
