BAGGAGE

For baggage collection from your room, please contact Reception.  Arrangements can also be made for storage.

 

BANKS

All banks are located within the CBD. Most of the ATM’s - Westpac, Kiwi bank, BNZ and ASB are available in the Plaza, and EFT-POS is available at Reception.

 

BANQUET AND CONFERENCE FACILITIES      

Our Hotel has four conference rooms, located in the Steeple Complex at the end of the drive.  These rooms are available for private hire.  Your inspection is invited; our Conference Manager would be pleased to assist you.

Equipment such as Data Projector, Screen, Flipcharts and Whiteboards are all available for hire.

BUSES

Tranzit City Link is located in the square on Main Street for all your local travel needs.  For all national travel with Tranzit and Intercity Coachlines, the depot is located next to the I-Site Building in The Square and provides all your travel requirements.

 

CAR PARKING

Our two main car parks are located at the front of the main entrance. These can be entered via Linton Street or Fitzherbert Avenue, both of which are gated.  Fitzherbert Avenue Gates will automatically lock between 9pm and 6am.  Upon check in you will be provided with a code that will allow you to operate the gates during these hours. The Linton Street gates will predominately be locked 24/7 and the code you are provided with will enable you to operate as required.

Copthorne Hotel Palmerston North takes no responsibility for damage or theft to vehicles using the car park.

 

CREDIT CARD FACILITIES

EFTPOS, American Express, J.C.B., Visa and MasterCard are all accepted. There is an additional transaction fee of 2% for credit card purchases.

DRY CLEANING AND LAUNDRY                                       

Dry-cleaning is available Monday-Friday.  Please place clothing in the bags provided. Please ensure your dry-cleaning is left with Reception before 9am.  Dry-cleaning will be returned to your room after 5pm the same day.

 

DO NOT DISTURB

If you do not want to be disturbed, please put the “Privacy Requested” sign on the door and ask the operator to screen incoming calls.

 

ELECTRIC CURRENT

New Zealand provides 240 volt AC.  Please contact Reception if you require an adaptor for a 240 volt appliance.  We do not provide transformers but these are available from electronic shops.  For shop locations please contact Reception

 

EMERGENCY SERVICES/ FIRE SAFETY

On the sound of alarm bells, your room must be vacated immediately. 

  • Do not use the lifts.

  • Do not return to your room until the all clear has been given. 

  • Assembly point: Car Park on Left Hand Side of Driveway in Front of Reception

If you have special needs, please inform Reception so we can be aware that you require help.

All rooms are checked and secured by our Fire Wardens.

IRONING AND LAUNDRY

Iron and Ironing Boards are stored in the wardrobe.

Coin operated washing and drying facilities, are located in the Guest Laundry on the second floor. Washing Machine & Dryer require 2 x $2 coins per cycle, with each cycle taking approximately 45 minutes to complete.  Soap powder may be purchased from Reception at $1 per sachet. Hours of are operation 7am – 9pm daily and can be accessed using your Room Key Card.

Your personal mini-bar is available from the refrigerator in your room. Stock will be replenished daily and a charge made to your account for stock consumed.  Additional items can be arranged by contacting Reception.

NON SMOKING POLICY

All of our rooms are strictly non-smoking. We have a designated smoking area outside the main hotel exit. If we find the room has been smoked in or smells strongly of smoke/vape, a $250 cleaning fee will apply.

We regret that pets are not permitted on the Hotel premises due to health regulations. Special arrangements may be made for sight-impaired guests accompanied by a licenced guide dog.

The Hotel is not responsible for property left in guest rooms. We strongly recommend that you use the safe deposit box that is located above the luggage rack in the room. This facility is provided free of charge.
