Save the Kiwi and Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand Partnership

Starting 1 July 2023, this kiwi conservation partnership will allow guests of Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand, an opportunity to donate a meal or a ‘room’ for a night to Save the Kiwi.  This innovative approach sees the guest simply reducing their own room servicing needs and ensures a kiwi gets fed and a safe environment to grow.

Opting out of having your room serviced for a single night helps the hotels conserve water and energy resources, which can then be redirected into feeding a kiwi with Save the Kiwi.  And if we get 5 rooms per night opting out of a room servicing, that’s enough to house a kiwi for the night.

The extensive property coverage throughout New Zealand means that there is a local kiwi population near every one of the 18 hotels nationwide. This partnership marks the beginning of Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand’s commitment to Save the Kiwi, and provides a valuable opportunity to make a significant impact.

By joining forces, Save the Kiwi and Millennium Hotels and Resorts New Zealand aim to continue to make a significant difference in the preservation of Aotearoa’s national icon, kiwi.
