"Great Hotel In Convenient Location "
Mike S - Malvern, United Kingdom, May/15/2017
I selected this hotel due to its obvious location near the railway station and the centre of Plymouth. The accommodation was very good and we stayed for 3 nights. My wife and I had one meal in Bentley's Restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed! The same facilities are used for breakfast and the standard was excellent with a wide choice. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the manager reacted extremely well when we had a problem with the lateness of cleaning our room. Overall an enjoyable stay!
Situated in the heart of the city is the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth. With the vibrant nightlife and cultural attractions in Devon right on our doorstep, and a short walk away from the Barbican and iconic Mayflower steps, we are hard to beat on location and convenience. I stayed at the Copthorne for 2 nights to attend some family birthday celebrations. My cousin booked several rooms for those of us who were travelling to Plymouth. My room-417- was a connoisseur room so I had slippers & dressing gown provided & there was a superb Samsung TV & a fridge with complimentary water & soft drinks. I had a wonderful stay with no noise during the night. The WiFi was adequate for my needs. The breakfast was excellent but the stand out feature was the shower which was the BEST (most powerful) I have had at any non Spa hotel anywhere in the world. Other family members agreed about their showers too. Also, bath sheets were provided which is always a bonus for me. The hotel is close to the Railway Station- 8 minutes walking & about 20 minutes walking to the Hoe & Barbican. The staff were smashing & I would definitely stay at the Copthorne again. Thanks to all concerned.

A relaxed dining experience and friendly laid-back bar
Had great stay in a twin room (number 125) in The Copthorne Hotel. Has a view of Sainsbury's car park and beyond. Room is on 1st floor so not on same level as car park. This is a good size well decorated room. Plenty of sockets ( can watch tv and make a cuppa and charge at least one phone or tablet per guest without unplugging lamps )There is a Mini fridge which is great.Ceiling fan light. Adjustable heater. Opening windows. Extra pillows and blankets in cupboard aswell as a portable fan and an ironing board and iron.Has a comfortable easy chair and table also a comfortable reclning desk chair. The bathroom is spacious and well lit with shower over bath. Didn't have breakfast. Did have lovely evening meal both nights in the bar. Has a children's menu. There is also a restaurant but didn't go in. I got a great offer on booking of £10 spending credit per person per day. There is a car park but didn't use it.All staff friendly and polite. Especially David the porter.Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at the hotel this weekend and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. All the staff are friendly and helpful and rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast has a huge array of choice and is the best of any hotel I have stayed in. Its a short walk to the train station and town centre.
