This small unassuming place, located in an old depot, hides a music powerhouse that’s been around since the 1970s. More a music club than a night club, the First Avenue has two performance spaces, the largest has a capacity of 1550, and hosts more than 350 concerts every year. It claims to be ‘one of the longest running independently owned and operated clubs in the United States, as well as one of the most celebrated.’
