A beautiful modern church in Liverpool                        

Known locally as “Paddy’s Wigwam”, the Metropolitan Cathedral is the largest Catholic cathedral in England. Completed in 1967, it has a unique perpendicular lantern window at the apex, hence its nickname. Highlights include the modern stained glass windows, Lutyens Crypt and the Treasury, best enjoyed as part of a free guided tour.
