Ayazma and the Church of St Mary of Blachernae
This unremarkable church sits atop the site of one of the most celebrated shrines to the Virgin Mary in Byzantium. Citizens of Constantinople made regular pilgrimages to the spring, and in the 5th century A.D., Empress Augusta Pulcheria, wife of Emperor Marcian, had a church built on the site.

Spice Bazaar
Bazaar houses spice trades but on a different, more touristic scale with an abundance of merchants selling Turkish Delight and other traditional Turkish sweet. It was built in 1660 next to the then busy, industrial port of Eminönü. Product was shipped to and from everywhere within and outside of Ottoman lands.
