Occupying a total area of 220 square kilometres and sustaining a population of 600,000 (based on a 2014 census), the Wuxi district is currently administering the Wuxi Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone, the Wuxi (Taihu) International Technology Park, the Wuxi Airport Industrial Park, the China (Wuxi) Industrial Expo Park, the China Wu Culture Expo Park and the International Education and Living Community.
