The Restaurant is open for evening dining from 6.00pm with last orders taken at 8.30pm. Please check options available by calling the restaurant. Bookings are recommended; press the ‘Restaurant’ button from your in-room phone.

Open daily from 3pm offering a wide range New Zealand and local wines, cocktails, craft beers, espresso coffee and bar menu.

AIR CONDITIONING

Our Seaspray and Hibiscus Guest rooms are fitted with A/C for heating and cooling.

 

AIRPORT TRANSFERS      

If you require an airport transfer please contact reception and we will arrange this for you. Please ensure you allow yourself at least 30 minutes to reach the Bay of Islands Airport in Kerikeri. Charges will apply.

 

ARTWORK

The majority of the artwork in and around the hotel is available for purchase.  For more information, please contact reception.      

 

CAR PARKING

Complimentary on site car parking is available.  We request you do not park on grassed areas.  Parking is at your own risk and the hotel accepts no liability or responsibility for any loss or damage to vehicles or valuables.

 

CAR RENTAL

Please contact reception who will be able to assist with car rental.

 

CHECKOUT

Checkout time is 10:00am.  Late checkouts are available but may incur a charge.  Please contact reception the night prior to request a late checkout (subject to availability). If you are leaving the hotel after this time, contact reception about bag storage.

 

CHURCH SERVICES

The local Anglican Church, St Pauls Paihia Services: 10am Sundays.       

 

CREDIT CARD FACILITIES

EFTPOS, American Express, J.C.B., Visa and MasterCard are all accepted. There is an additional transaction fee of 2% for credit card purchases.

 

CREDIT CARD PRE AUTHORISATION

Upon your arrival, we require a credit card in order to take a preauthorisation - this is when we hold the amount of your room rate for the duration of your stay, (unless your accommodation has been prepaid), along with $50 per night for any incidentals.

 

COOKING

Cooking on our premises is not permitted. Anyone who is believed to be cooking in the rooms are subject to a fine and may be asked to leave the hotel premises.  Cooking in the rooms may activate the fire alarm.  A $1500 fire service call out fee will be charged should this happen.

 

DRY CLEANING AND LAUNDRY                           

Our dry cleaning service is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Please place items in the bag provided in your room, and have items delivered to reception prior to 7:30am. Please contact reception if you wish this to be collected from your room.  Once returned your laundry will be delivered to your room.  Same day service is not guaranteed as all guest laundry and dry cleaning is done offsite.

 

DO NOT DISTURB

If you do not want to be disturbed, please put the “Privacy Requested” sign on the door and ask the operator to screen incoming calls.

 

ELECTRIC CURRENT

New Zealand power supply is 240-volt AC. Please contact reception if you require a universal adaptor for a 240-volt appliance. We do not provide transformers, these are available from electronic stores. For store locations, contact reception.

 

FIRST AID

For first aid assistance, please contact reception, they will be able to assist with first aid supplies. We do not stock any medication on site.

 

FIRE/EMERGENCY 

Please familiarise yourself with the information regarding fire and evacuation under Emergency Evacuation and on the back of your room door. In case of an emergency, please contact reception immediately or dial 111.

Kawakawa Hospital is located approximately 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel. If you are experiencing an emergency, please contact reception immediately or dial 111.

 

HOUSEKEEPING

If you require any additional room amenities, please contact reception.

LAUNDRY                                                  

We have a guest laundry available with washing and drying machines.  This are located at the restaurant end of the Seaspray (200) wing. Machines are operated with tokens.  Tokens and soap powder are available for purchase from reception.

MEETING FACILITIES         

The hotel has several different sized meeting spaces ideally suited for conferences, functions, and weddings. For further information, please contact the Manager on Duty or our Conference Manager by using the names buttons on the in-room phone.

 

MESSAGES

Messages received in your absence will be delivered to your room.  To access your voicemails, press the ‘voicemail’ button on your in-room phone

 

NON SMOKING POLICY

All of our rooms are strictly non-smoking. If we find the room has been smoked in or smells strongly of smoke, a $250 cleaning fee will apply.

 

PETS                                                 

We regret that pets are not permitted on the Hotel premises due to health regulations and local bylaw as we are in a protected kiwi habitat area. Special arrangements may be made for sight-impaired guests accompanied by a licenced guide dog.

 

PAYMENT    

We accept cash, EFTPOS,  debit and all major credit cards.  A 2.0% surcharge is added to all credit card and travel cash card transactions (including international debit cards).

 

POOL

The pools are open between 7:00am and 10:00pm.  After 10:00pm the pool complex is closed due to the close proximity to guest’s rooms and for daily maintenance.

  • Pool towels are to be signed out at reception and signed back in at reception. A charge of $25.00 per towel will occur if the towels are not returned before your departure.
  • We do not have a lifeguard on duty and ask that any children in your care using the pool be supervised at all times.
  • For safety reasons glassware is not to be used in the vicinity of the pools – plastic alternatives are available from the bar.
  • Please NO Diving or Jumping off the Rocks. People caught jumping off the rocks will be warned and maybe asked to leave the pool if jumping continues.
  • Usage of the pool and spa areas are at the guests own risk. Only beverages and food purchased from the hotel can be consumed at the pool and Café Bar area. The fenced pool area is a strictly no smoking area

 

RECREATION/ACTIVITIES

The lobby is well equipped with brochures and we offer a booking service for any tour that you may wish to book. Please making bookings through the reception desk.

 

RESTAURANT

Jimmy Cook’s Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner.  Please call the restaurant directly for menu options. To secure your table contact the restaurant by pressing the ‘Restaurant’ button on your in-room phone to make a reservation.

 

ROOM KEY

Your electronic key card is programmed to enter your room for the duration of your stay and resets for the next guest at 12pm on the day of departure. Upon departure please return this key to reception. If you have two separate reservations you will need to come to reception to reactive your key.

 

ROOM MAINTENANCE

If you have any minor repairs, adjustments or maintenance requirements please contact reception.

 

SAFETY DEPOSIT BOXES                                     

We offer a complimentary secure safe system, located in the wardrobe of your room.  The hotel is very conscious of security and we strongly recommend the use of this safe. The Hotel is not responsible for property left in guest rooms.  To operate:

The safe door should be open when you first enter your room (if it is closed please contact reception).

  • Place your belongings in the safe.
  • Close the door.
  • Enter a 4-digit number into the key pad followed by the asteryx (*).
  • Lock mechanism will operate and the pin code used will briefly show on the display panel.

To open:

  • Enter your four-digit number into the key pad.
  • Door will open automatically.
  • Upon departure of the hotel please leave door open for the next guest.

SECURITY AND SAFETY                                       

To ensure that you have a pleasant stay, we ask for your co-operation in observing the following

  • Please check your door is closed properly when leaving your room.
  • When checking out, please return the key card to reception.
  • Use the safe in your wardrobe for your valuables.
  • Advise if you wish to screen incoming calls.
  • Call the Manager on Duty if you see a suspicious person.
  • Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
  • Visitors are allowed on site solely at the discretion of the hotel. Any anti-social behaviour may result in the 

 

SMOKING

No smoking is permitted in the guest rooms, public areas inside the hotel or within the fenced pool/spa area. A cleaning fee of $250.00 will be charged to your room.

 

TEA AND COFFEE MAKING FACILITIES

Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities are located in your room. Should you require extra UHT milk, please contact the restaurant.

 

TOILETRIES AND AMENITIES

A small selection (listed below) is available from Reception.

TENNIS COURT

The tennis court is located between the Hibiscus (100 & 700) and Pohutukawa (400) wings.  This is open from 8:30am until sunset. Please make a booking with reception.

Reception staff can arrange taxis and shuttles for you.

For early morning departures advanced bookings are advisable
