Popular with the college crowd, this local bar offers beers on tap, great pub grub and live-music, making it a one-stop-shop for food and entertainment. The Tavern has been filling glasses since 1795 and was first owned by Jimmy Wilson - the town crier for 50 years. It became a gathering place for printers, politicians, sailors and students and was the most famous alehouse in the city. There's a lot of history in those walls.
