Situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Gardens is considered one of the finest locations imaginable for a public garden. It has become a visitor favourite for its lush lawns and various deciduous trees, which change to vibrant colours in autumn. Today, the gardens – which were established in 1887 – are used for community activities and events, and are home to local bowling and tennis clubs.
