The first suite we were "upgraded" to (room 5206) was strangely empty of much furniture. What little furniture there was was uncomfortable, did not seem to go together and was very tired. After unpacking and settling in, we discovered the floor was soaking wet. We never got an explanation, but we were moved. The next suite seemed to have appropriate furniture, both in amount and consistency, but everything about the room and elevators (the only places we really experienced) was tired. From our limited experience, this hotel needs a serious facelift. And room 5206 simply should not be used until someone decides to furnish it.

very clean hotel, comfortable bed, convenient to Penn Station and 8th ave. subways
even with the heavy curtains, it was hard to block out the lights from Times Square
