I recently purchased a scoopon deal for a 10 night stay at the Millennium Resort. Prior to arrival I was a little unsure what to expect. Sure the scoopon sounded great, great perks with the deal and the pics looked good, but then again it’s meant to its part of selling the deal right! On our arrival we checked in with ease and were given a complimentary refreshment voucher to enjoy whilst our room was finalised. There are two seperate sections to the resort lakeside and beachside. Neither back onto either but it’s more a location locator than as it suggests. A buggy transferred us over to the beachside resort and we were escorted to our room and welcomed. All our additional inclusions were present d in voucher form and explained in great detail. The room was well styled and spacious enough to accommodate our stay. The bathroom was big enough to swing a towel and the beds very comfortable. I had requested in my reservation to have close access to the lift and distance to our room due to health issues of my mother. The allocated room was perfect. Breakfast was served daily and a great assortment of choices. Our housekeeper tidied the room daily and we felt comfortable leaving things unsecured or hidden way. She was a pure delight and was in no way invasive of our privacy. On a number of days we returned to our room to a surprise delivery of sweet treats to keep us happy 😃 The Jungceylon shopping centre was adjoining to the hotel and so convenient. It was a great advantage having use of the supermarket and useage of the fridge within our room, enabled us to be more budget aware. We ate in both restaurants, one being a set course menu and the other a seafood buffet. Both meals were faultless, fresh and tasty and reasonably price. The seafood buffet was plentiful and the assortment very satisfying. We indulged in a Thai massage at the day spa and both Mum and I agreed it was the best massage we had in Thailand (and we had a few) if not the best ever. It was more reflexology of every pressure point and points I didn’t know existed. My body felt amazing. We finished this experience with a beautiful herbal tea and biscuits, presented beautifully. Given the choice to stay here again I would indeed prefer beachside for no other reason than to sit and overlook the water pond located within the Resort was beautiful. I also think the pool area is a nicer place to sit chill and relax and a much bigger pool. I leave here today and I leave with a very happy experience and am so thankful to all the amazing staff that welcomed us, chatted freely with us, the nothing is too much trouble attitude and for completing our very pleasurable stay at the Millennium. I finalise my review with this resort may not have the ocean views but for that it makes up for everything else. There are many cafes, markets, restaurants, shops and stalls within a mere stroll. Bangla Rd is within walking distance and 10 minutes walking distance to the beachfront makes this choice perfect. You would be hard fetched to find something that has all this on offer.
