The Millennium Hotel in downtown Cincinnati was a total treat. We didn’t use the outdoor pool, but we had our morning coffee in the pool area which we would have gladly gone back and used, except a few steps out the front door led us to a day filled with activities and we didn’t make it back until the sun was well set. A mere block and a half away was Fountain Square. There were several restaurant options, but there was also free live music. We were sitting and enjoying fabulous music when we noticed crowds moving through the square and so we followed them. The ball park was a five block walk away, so we got tickets to go watch. There weren’t enough daylight hours to stop and see everything downtown had to offer within walking distance of this hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was also quiet. I went out in the hallway to get ice and was surprised to find a group gathering; they were excited to be heading out and we never heard them with our door closed. The elevator bank was heavily taxed during checkout hours. It could be that there were groups in town and that people were all traveling together. Check-in and check-out were fast and friendly. If we are ever in Cincinnati again, and I sincerely hope we are, we would definitely stay at the Millennium again.
