"Great Hotel In Convenient Location "
Mike S - Malvern, United Kingdom, May/15/2017
I selected this hotel due to its obvious location near the railway station and the centre of Plymouth. The accommodation was very good and we stayed for 3 nights. My wife and I had one meal in Bentley's Restaurant which we thoroughly enjoyed! The same facilities are used for breakfast and the standard was excellent with a wide choice. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the manager reacted extremely well when we had a problem with the lateness of cleaning our room. Overall an enjoyable stay!
Situated in the heart of the city is the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth. With the vibrant nightlife and cultural attractions in Devon right on our doorstep, and a short walk away from the Barbican and iconic Mayflower steps, we are hard to beat on location and convenience. We are only a short drive from Dartmoor National Park, the Royal Citadel, the renowned Plymouth Gin Distillery and many more local attractions too.
The 3-star hotel boasts 135 guest rooms, a fitness suite, on-site parking (chargeable) and over 400 sqm of event space, making it ideal for business and family trips. I stayed at the Copthorne for 2 nights to attend some family birthday celebrations. My cousin booked several rooms for those of us who were travelling to Plymouth. My room-417- was a connoisseur room so I had slippers & dressing gown provided & there was a superb Samsung TV & a fridge with complimentary water & soft drinks. I had a wonderful stay with no noise during the night. The WiFi was adequate for my needs. The breakfast was excellent but the stand out feature was the shower which was the BEST (most powerful) I have had at any non Spa hotel anywhere in the world. Other family members agreed about their showers too. Also, bath sheets were provided which is always a bonus for me. The hotel is close to the Railway Station- 8 minutes walking & about 20 minutes walking to the Hoe & Barbican. The staff were smashing & I would definitely stay at the Copthorne again. Thanks to all concerned.

Having made the booking - a treat from my nephew and his wife who accompanied us- and as this was our first stay in the Copthorne Hotel Plymouth,we didn't know what to expect . I am pleased to say that we were all delighted with everything about our night there .The rooms were a good size with excellent facilities(the mini-fridge was a lovely surprise !)They were really clean and comfortable and ,despite the proximity to the city centre, quiet too! Everyone slept very well ,as the beds were really comfy (thanks to good quality mattresses and pillows ).The "secret" car park was a bonus (once we found it ) not the easiest place to locate !The hotel is perfectly situated for everything Plymouth has to offer ,with the shopping area being only five minutes walk away .We even managed to walk up to the Hoe to see the wonderful 'Remembrance Poppy Display' .It was all so easy and enjoyable .We will definitely be returning!
Great stay convenient location.Like the refurb.Receptionist very helpful and friendly.Always stay at Copthorne when we come to Plymouth Think parking expensive.Very convenient for shops, restaurants, bus station and The Hoe.
Great day and night spent at Plymouth. Checked in to copthorne hotel early, not able to go to rooms. But we're happy to take our bags, so we went off shopping for the day. The hotel is going through some refurbishment and what as been done is very tasteful. The breakfast is awesome. Staff really helpful and friendly
