10th Anniversary Millennium Charity Run | 1st October 2017
In aid of Phuket Panyanukul School- Engaging with Autism
In conjunction with its 10th year celebrations, Millennium Resort Patong will be holding a run-for-charity on Sunday 1st October, 2017 in aid of Phuket Panyanukul School to support and improve the teaching-learning quality, gain new and effective ways in educating children with autism. This event is also aimed to further promote awareness among the local society towards children with special needs as well as drive a healthy lifestyle.
Endorsed by the Phuket Governor and Patong Municipality, the charity run will be a 5-km Fun-Run and a 10-km Mini Marathon along Patong beachfront. Participation fees will be THB 300 net and THB 350 net per person, for the respective runs. Collection of participation fees will be donated to the Phuket Panyanukul School (PPS). The Phuket Panyanukul School (PPS) was established on 29 November 1993 and located at 133 Moo 3, Pa Khlok, Thalang, Phuket 83110 Thailand. It is recognized by the local Ministry of Education under Region 4 in response to the Thai Government policy to expand education opportunities from kindergarten to high school for children with special needs, emotional and behavioral disabilities and autism.
As part of on-going efforts by the Hotel in its community service responsibility programs, Millennium Resort has, since 2014, adopted students at the Phuket Panyanukul School, providing painting tools and supplies with weekly art classes. These hand-painted art pieces by the disabled children are currently on display at the Lakeside lobby for sale. All proceeds from the sale of these art pieces are donated back to the school.
