Excellent service - staff should be commended for going that extra mile. Had our meal in the bar but it came off the restaurant menu - best we have had in NZ so far.

Yes, it's a bit dated, but I think most places in Greymouth probably are! From what I could find vs cost, this was fine. I was in Room 204, also next to some noisy vents, but it didn't effect my sleep at all, I can't remember if they were even on when I was going to sleep. Had a little balcony with a window and door out onto it, and there was a window to open in the bathroom. Spacious bathroom, the bath is slippery, but they do recommend you use the bath mat provided. There was also a rail at the end of the bath to hold onto. The shower curtain however is very low and I had more probability of getting tangled up in that, than slipping on the bath.Wi-fi only free and restricted time in the lobby, otherwise pay for internet. Staff excellent, very friendly and helpful. Convenient location. Would recommend.
As part of our package,a one night stay was booked for us here. The room was to used just for sleeping spending most of our time being spent exploring. The room has ensuite which included a bath. Kettle with tea coffee also ready available in the room. Bed was comfy. Maybe a little too soft as you was drawn to roll into the middle. Other then that, there was nothing to complain about. We had room service to our room late evening and breakfast in the morning (full breakfast). Reception was friendly. Small car park was my only other complaint to come to mind. Was very tight if you have a larger vehicle like a people mover
Stayed here after our tranzalpine train ride and tour. Our room attendant Belinda did a good job! Room was clean and comfy and perfect to return to. And big thank you to receptionist staff for being patient with us and our multiple questions, especially Rachel who helped us with our lugguage as well. We also had a very satisfying breakfast the next morning. I would definitely go back again.
