London Underground infographic: Millennium survey reveals public’s pet peeves

Mar 03,2016

The London Underground is a hot topic at the moment, and with a vested interest in our guest's experience of the capital, we've been keeping a close eye on recent tube-related events. We were also keen to really get to know what people thought about the tube, what they found annoying, and what they'd like to change in an ideal world.

So we set about commissioning a YouGov survey to reveal what people really think of the main form of public transport in London. With an annual TFL travel card for zones 1-6 coming out at a huge £2,364, it's no wonder that results showed cost to be one of people's biggest pet peeves. Then of course there are all of the elements of tube etiquette to consider, which participants certainly had something to say about! And with the recent tube strikes fueling debate across the country, it was interesting to see how everyone felt about the possibility of a night tube. Now it's looking like we could actually have one by summer, we're guessing a large proportion of our participants are feeling pretty chuffed.

Check out the rest of the results below in our infographic: The Dream Tube as wished for by Londoners.
