“Comfortable stay and great hotel staff”

We stayed for two nights, the hotel is comfortable, good beds, well located and has off street parking on site, easy to get to. What really stood out was the hotel staff, friendly and helpful, from our first contact at reception, through room service, bar, restaurant and kitchen, they were all great, we saw a lot of multi tasking an obvious sign of a well run establishment. We would definitely stay again at this hotel.

“Last minute stay”

Booked to stay in last minute, the adults and a 3 year old. Good location to town, though parking around the area was full. The hotel does offer $20 to park there which is better than some other hotels. The room was fine, the beds were comfy and though it is a little dated and old school, we enjoyed our stay. We didn't use mini fridge or room service. The air con was a little loud and there were some little hairs in the bathroom which didn't belong to us. Also a small hole in the shower. For what it was though, we enjoyed it. Reception were very friendly and staff in general were pleasant. We enjoyed a $20 breakfast buffet which was sustaining and everything we needed to start our day. As I noted with other reviews of other hotels, one thing I was after was not being too close to the city, as other hotels had had problems with unwanted people hanging around their hotel and having issues with lots of noise. Copthorn was far enough away to keep unwanted people and noise away. But still close enough to town. If you can look past the decor, this is still a good hotel, and we would stay again.

“Fantastic service”

I’ve spent about 2 weeks at the Copthorne over the last few weeks and I wanted to write and say how impressed I am with the staff and the service they give. They are friendly, helpful and willing to go out of their way. I especially want to mention Sophia, the front of house manager who gives exemplary customer care and ensures her staff do the same.
