Learn more about the mesmerising history of batik-making at Textile Museum

The Textile Museum was established in 1975. It houses over 300 indigenous textiles from all over Indonesia like cotton, silk batik, intricately woven ikat and various others. There are also displays of traditional weaving instruments and equipment for textile production. The museum’s garden has plants like frican Tulip tree, Caesarweed that are used to colour traditional fabrics. You can also join a Batik Workshop at Pendoppo Batik and make your own Batik fabric.
