Enjoy The Ultimate Doo Wop Show in New York
From 15 June 2013 To 15 June 2013Address
The Beacon Theater, 2124 Broadway, New York, NY 10023
Doo Wop music emerged from the rhythm and blues of African American communities in the 1940s, but it was not until the 1950s and 1960s that it really rose to public prominence.
Characterised by vocal harmonies, little or no instrumentation and a simple beat with some nonsense syllables, it can be heard in tracks like Why Do Fools Fall in Love? by Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers.
Now, guests at New York hotels have the opportunity to enjoy one of the best events on the Doo Wop calendar when The Ultimate Doo Wop Show visits the city's Beacon Theater.
The event is set to take place on June 15th and tickets are priced between $48.50 and $88.50.
It will be the sixth year in a row that the show has returned and it boasts 11 original artists including Larry Chance & The Earls, The Chiffons and Norman Fox & The Rob-Roys.
Guests at Millennium Broadway Hotel New York will find their accommodation is less than a ten-minute taxi ride away from the theater and this fantastic production.
See 'After Midnight' from April 1st to June 6th on at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York.
