The Lights of December makes a triumphant return to Colorado's most populous city once again this year.
Streets, restaurants and hotels in Boulder will be illuminated at this not-to-be-missed event, which brings in the holiday season in breathtaking style.
Spectators will be able to enjoy floats created and decorated by local businesses, churches and civic groups. Featuring marching bands, lit fire engines, holiday carol singers and much more, there is something for all the family to enjoy.
Kids will be asking their parents to book a stay at the Millennium Harvest Hotel Boulder so that they don't miss a special appearance from the big man himself - Santa Claus.
Last year's festivities kicked off on December 3rd, with more than 50 local groups taking part, including both the Fairview and Boulder High School marching band and the Swing Dancing Elves.
Attendees at 2011's event were encouraged to take advantage of the free parking at one of Boulder's five parking sites, paying special attention to the 'no parking' signs around the city that run along the parade route.
Santa was once again present last year, meeting and greeting visitors at the visitor information center on Pearl Street a few hours before the procession began.
