CU Art Museum, 1085 18th Street, Boulder, CO 80309
When asked to think of examples of art, many people would probably name paintings that are made to be looked at but not touched.
However, many modern artists are creating pieces that are designed to be interacted with by onlookers - and guests at Boulder hotels can check out an exhibition full of it at the University of Colorado Art Museum this summer.
Jen Lewin: It's Electric features a collection of work by the eponymous Boulder-based designer and will be showing between June 1st and July 27th.
It incorporates six new light and sound sculptures which invite visitors to become part of them, including woven video curtains that reflect movement and robotic moths that flutter when touched.
Lewin's work has been seen in publications including National Geographic, Wired and the New York Times, so this exhibition is sure to be well worth taking a look at.
Guests at the Millennium Harvest House Boulder will find they can easily walk to the museum, as it is less than 20 minutes away on foot.
