University of Colorado hotels don't get any closer than the Millennium Harvest House Boulder. The hotel is conveniently located just 100 yards from this venerable institution.
When founded in 1876, the University had an intake of just 44 students and three lecturers. Since that time, University of Colorado has grown into an establishment of some renown. Visitors will discover an intriguing group of buildings that convey the rugged feel of the Flatirons which overlook Boulder.
Inside the University lies a remarkable library that houses some truly fascinating books. Today, the library is one of the largest of its kind, and also accommodates two art galleries. The Colorado University Art Museum is bedecked with modern and contemporary artwork. The UMC Art Gallery, meanwhile, is decorated with artwork produced by university students as well as a selection of works by internationally recognized artists.
One of the most popular buildings at the University of Colorado is the Macky Auditorium. The building plays host to a variety of plays, talks and musical performances. Inside the auditorium, there is also the Macky Art Gallery to browse. Although free for public access, the gallery is only open on Wednesdays from 9 am till 4 pm.
