Split: A Deeper Divide is a documentary film that investigates the partisanship that is purportedly paralyzing contemporary politics.
It claims that the US is more polarised than it has been at any other point in recent memory - which has led to politics becoming gridlocked.
As a result of this, it hopes to get to the root of this problem and identify why this is the case and how it came to be.
Social, cultural, economic and political forces are all examined in the hope of going beyond the headline coverage that poses liberals against conservatives.
