Admire the work of Gabriel Figueroa in Los Angeles
From 24 August 2013 To 19 January 2014Address
Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), 5905 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90036
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (better known as LACMA) is always a brilliant place to spend an afternoon, but you especially won't want to miss an upcoming exhibit featuring the work of Gabriel Figueroa.
Titled Under the Mexican Sky, the exhibition features some of Figueroa's best-loved images of Mexico from the 1920s to the 1980s.
Widely considered to be one of the most important figures in Mexico's golden age of cinema, Figueroa helped to shape a visual identity of the country, which is evident in the photographs, posters and film clips that are set to be on display when the exhibition gets underway next month.
Under the Mexican Sky is set to debut at LACMA on September 22 in the Art of the Americas building, and will run until February 2 next year - which gives you plenty of time to see it if you are considering your options when it comes to Los Angeles hotels.
The Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles is the perfect place from which to explore LACMA. It is just a 20-minute drive away, and is also close to a number of other key LA landmarks.
A new exhibit at LACMA explores a popular Jewish folk tale in more detail.
The Power of Photography: National Geographic 125 Years opens at the Annenberg Space for Photography on October 26th.
