War Horse, a remarkable tale of loyalty, courage and friendship, is heading to St Louis in mid-March for a two-week run at the Fox Theatre.
Set in England in 1914, the play tells the tale of a young man called Albert whose horse Joey is sold to the cavalry at the start of World War I.
Joey soon finds himself shipped to France and caught up in the midst of the action, serving on both sides of the conflict before finding himself all alone in No Man's Land.
Albert finds himself unable to forget about Joey and embarks on a rescue mission, even though he is still too young to enlist in the army.
"This powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness," the promoters said in a statement.
Anyone seeking a place to stay close to the Fox Theatre should look no further than the Millennium Hotel St Louis.
