Address Old Rock House, 1200 7th Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63104

On November 16th, the Old Rock House in St Louis will be playing host to a performance by acclaimed singer-songwriter Paul Thorn.

His unique brand of semi-autobiographical tunes has drawn comparisons with the work of people like John Hiatt and John Prine.

After many discs of this kind of material, he decided to take a break from his own work with his latest release.

Entitled What the Hell is Goin' On?, Thorn puts his own gritty stamp on some of his very favourite songs.

Familiar Americana acts such as Buddy Miller and Ray Wylie Hubbard are represented, as well as lesser-knowns like Foy Vance and Wild Bill Emerson.

Entry costs $20 and visitors to the city would do well to book rooms at the Millennium Hotel St Louis.

This is because it is very conveniently placed, being a short, 20-minute walk away from the venue - or it is easy to jump in a taxi for those who do not feel like stretching their legs.
