St Louis, Missouri is a great example of a city that is absolutely teeming with a wealth of culture and history.
It has a longstanding association with the rise of blues and jazz music - and this is reflected in many of its attractions and events.
On February 8th, the Old Rock House will be playing host to a special evening of entertainment entitled the Mardi Gras Masquerade Ball.
This will see a range of roots-inspired funk acts entertaining a crowd of delighted fans.
Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Funky Butt Brass Band are led by trombone powerhouse Big Sam Williams - who was formerly the trombonist for the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
Entry for the show costs just $15 when booked in advance or $20 on the night of the show.
Residents at the Millennium Hotel St Louis will be able to get to the venue in less than five minutes if they jump in a taxi.
