Josiah Leming was a struggling musician who busked on the streets and in coffee houses before he shot to fame on the seventh series of American Idol.

Although he impressed the judges and audiences, he was controversially voted off the show just before the semi-finals.

Nevertheless, he bounced back and with a little help from the support of Ellen DeGeneres, signed a record deal with Warner Bros on 2008.

Leming released his second studio album Another Life in late 2011 but is due to unveil another EP soon - and guests at Scottsdale hotels can catch him gigging in support of this at the Martini Ranch on May 24th.

Incredibly given his status as a rising star, tickets for the concert will cost just $10 and also include a variety of support acts.

Guest at the Millennium Scottsdale Resort and Villas can get to the venue in 12 minutes in a taxi, so there is no reason not to make this event part of a great night out.
