Miri Ben-Ari is a phenomenally talented violinist hailing from Tel Aviv in Israel.

Her debut album Sahara came out in 1999 - and her career since then has been defined by experimentation.

More recent work includes two linked albums entitled The Hip-Hop Violinist I and II.

She is also noted for her philanthropic work, having founded Gedenk - an organisation dedicated to promoting education about the Holocaust in the US.

This contributed to her being named as one of the ten most influential Israelis in America by Ynet.

On February 20th, she is due to travel to New York to play a show at the Gramercy Theatre.

Standing tickets cost $30 plus booking fees, while the best seated views in the house can be enjoyed for $45 plus $13 of service charges.

Residents at the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York will find that they are able to get to the venue in around ten minutes if they drive or jump in a taxi.
