On February 8th, French heavy metal legends Gojira will be travelling to New York to play a show at the Irving Plaza.

The band first got together in 1996, finally releasing their debut album - which was entitled Terra Incognita - in 2001.

This was met with a considerable degree of critical acclaim - and the group has consistently issued a new LP every two to three years since then.

Latest effort L'Enfant Sauvage came out just last year - and Gojira are currently on the road in support of this new material.

The New York show should prove to be a simply unmissable experience - and entry is a bargain at a mere $21 plus booking fees.

Visitors to the city who are looking for a place to stay would be very well advised to consider booking rooms at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel.

This is because the accommodation is ideally situated a mere ten-minute drive or taxi ride away from the venue.
