Delta Rae are a folk rock band who hail from Durham, North Carolina - and they were only just formed recently in 2009.

Despite this relatively short life span, they have already started to earn a reputation for themselves as sensational live performers.

Indeed, they have opened for big name acts like Edwin McCain and Hanson - and last year they signed to Sire Records.

This was mainly on the strength of the high standard of material showcased on their eponymous debut EP, which came out in 2010.

On March 5th, the group are due to travel to New York to play a gig at the Irving Plaza - and entry costs $16.

The Millennium UN Plaza Hotel could be the ideal place for visitors to the city to stay if they are hoping to catch the gig.

This is because the venue is around two miles from the venue - and the distance is easily covered in less than ten minutes by jumping in a cab.
