The classic story of Aladdin, as retold by Disney, is a staple of many childhoods. Now, it has been recreated for the Broadway stage as faithfully as possible, with the spectacular music by Alan Menken, Tim Rice and Howard Ashman perfectly preserved.

Taking place at the New Amsterdam Theatre until December 31st, the family-friendly production offers plenty of glitz and glamour - you can be sure of getting more than enough bang for your buck.

Possibly the most difficult part of the stage show is getting us to accept the genie as played by anyone who isn't Robin Williams, but cast member James Monroe Iglehart succeeds in this during the hard sell Never Had A Friend Like Me.

Aladdin certainly isn't short on the magic so why not go and see it with your family during your time in New York City? Stay at the Millennium Broadway Hotel New York.
