Aesop Rock is a hip-hop artist and record producer who hails from San Francisco in California.
He was at the very forefront of the area's underground and alternative hip-hop culture that came from the city in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The musician has always been very prolific, having released an album Skelethon last year and with another - entitled Hokey Fright - in the pipeline.
He is currently on the road in support of this new material - and is due to travel to New York to play a gig at the Irving Plaza on February 9th.
Entry prices start at $19.50 for the cheap seats, going up to $28 plus booking fees for the best views in the house.
Residents at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel will find that they can get to the venue in a little under ten minutes by driving or jumping in a taxi.
