See a celebration of women's craft in Minneapolis
From 28 July 2012 To 20 July 2014Address
Wells Fargo Centre, 90 South Seventh Street Suite, 150 Minneapolis, MN 55402
A free exhibition celebrating the work of women in craft and design is set to open in the Wells Fargo Centre on July 28th.
It will run until July 20th 2014, so there will be plenty of time for holidaymakers to travel to Minneapolis and take in the show!
Drawing from the collection of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, it showcases the talents of a wide range of women working in the field in their own unique way.
Industrial designs come from pioneers such as British silver designer Kate Harris, Marion Weeber - an inventor from the US - and designer Eva Zeisel.
Ms Zeisel had a particularly interesting life, having only recently died at the age of 105 years old.
Booking a stay at the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis could be a good move for those who are keen on the idea, as it is just a short half-mile walk up Marquette Avenue to get to the skyscraper - which you really can't miss!
