Rock of Ages to visit Minneapolis on tour
From 17 May 2013 To 19 May 2013Address
Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403
Rock of Ages has been a huge smash hit ever since it first strutted on to Broadway in 2009 - dubbed an "arena-rock love story", it scooped five Tony Award nominations in its first year on the Great White Way alone.
However, those who cannot make it to New York may be pleased to hear that it is going on tour across the US in 2013 - and guests at Minneapolis hotels will be able to catch it at the city's Orpheum Theatre between May 17th and 19th.
This is a special addition to the venue's schedule, so anyone who wants to buy tickets (priced from $34 to $94) may have to act quickly if they want to secure theirs.
Rock of Ages tells the story of a small-town girl named Sherrie and a rocker called Drew who are both trying to make it big in the music industry.
The soundtrack includes Don't Stop Believin', We Built This City, The Final Countdown and I Wanna Know What Love Is, so watching the musical is sure to be a great treat for anyone who likes a good guitar solo.
Guests at the Millennium Hotel Minneapolis will find the theater is very easy to get to, as it is just 11 minutes' walk away via Nicolett Mall.
The Loring Park Art Festival will celebrate its 15th edition in Minneapolis.
