Head to an independent filmmaker event in LA
From 21 February 2013 To 22 February 2013Address
Downtown Independent, 251 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90012, United States
From February 21st to the 22nd, the Downtown Independent in Los Angeles will be playing host to a very special event that should simply not be missed by budding filmmakers from all over the world.
Entitled How to Start a Movement, it will feature an hour-long screening of some exciting new works from some of the hottest young filmmakers currently active in the city of angels.
There will also be discussions on a wide range of topics - including the likes of how to get films screened in theatres.
Talkbacks have also been arranged with selected filmmakers - so the open dialogue should be truly riveting.
Entry costs just $7 plus $1.24 in service fees - and it could be a good idea for visitors to the city to book rooms at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles.
This is because it is a mere five-minute drive or taxi ride away from the venue.
Important images of Mexico captured through the work of Gabriel Figueroa will be on display at LACMA from September 2013 until February 2014.
A new exhibit at LACMA explores a popular Jewish folk tale in more detail.
