Catch some unusual TV shows in LA
From 23 February 2013 To 24 February 2013Address
Downtown Independent, 251 S Main St, Los Angeles, CA 90012, United States
Los Angeles is one city that will always be very closely associated with film and television.
Indeed, Hollywood is arguably the home of the silver screen - and many TV shows that are keenly followed all over the world are also produced here.
With this in mind, it would be remiss of visitors to the city not to take in some of the culture related to this during their trip.
On the evening of February 23rd, the city's Downtown Independent will be playing host to a screening of Channel 101.
This is a monthly screening of five-minute TV shows that have been produced specifically for the event - and suffice to say this is a unique way to enjoy the small screen.
Entry is free - and guests at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles will find that they are able to get to the venue in a little over five minutes by driving or jumping in a taxi.
Important images of Mexico captured through the work of Gabriel Figueroa will be on display at LACMA from September 2013 until February 2014.
A new exhibit at LACMA explores a popular Jewish folk tale in more detail.
